4:42 PM - What Color Green Are You?

You Are Emerald Green

Deep and mysterious, it often seems like no one truly gets you.
Inside, you are very emotional and moody - though you don't let it show.
People usually have a strong reaction to you... profound love or deep hate.
But you can even get those who hate you to come around. There's something naturally harmonious about you.

1:49 PM - Dr. Benjamin Mays

Dr. Benjamin Mays, originally uploaded by sisudave.

I had to post this too the former president of Morehouse College, the late Dr. Benjamin Elijah Mays. A wood carving though it almost looks like a pumpkin.

I had to post this shot. This has to be the most interesting shot I have taken. That and the water fountain. I'm really proud of this accomplishment.

9:54 PM - Who Were You In High School?

Hmmm, this little quiz isn't accurate but it would have been nice if it was.

Popular Kid

In high school, everyone knew your name - even if you didn't know theirs.

In fact, your still skating by on your looks and charm. Nothing wrong with that!

3:08 PM - Trapped in the Closet

These series of music videos were lampooned on SNL and MadTV and I waited to long to see what this was really about. These, well I like to call them "operas" were mostly produced by R. Kelly and I found one with an interesting twist. Check this out.

I'm actually surprised to find this on YouTube.

4:12 PM - Co-Writer of Let's Go Go-Go White Sox has died...

I like the White Sox but I really consider myself a fan of the Cubs and I really do admire the Sox' fight song. One can hear it at White Sox Interactive. In any case it was in the news today that a Walter E. Jagiello has passed away at 76. I found this story in the Sun-Times through a link from The Capitol Fax Blog.

Here's another treat. The Lyrics to the fight song...

GO-GO WHITE SOX!
White Sox! White Sox!
Go-Go White Sox!
Let's go, Go-Go White Sox
We're with you all the way!
You're always in there fighting,
And you do your best.
We're glad to have you out here in the Middle West.

We're gonna root-root-root-root White Sox.
And cheer you on to victory.
When we're in the stands,
We'll make those rafters ring;
All through the season,
You will hear us sing.
Let's go, Go-Go White Sox,
Chicago's proud of you!

White Sox! White Sox!
Go-Go White Sox!

Root-Root-Root for the White Sox. We'll cheer you on to victory.
When we're in the stands,
We'll make those rafters ring;
All through the season,
You will hear us sing.
Let's go, Go-Go White Sox,
Chicago's proud of you!

White Sox! White Sox!
Go-Go White Sox!
Let's go, Go-Go White Sox!
Chicago is proud of you!

12:48 PM - What Breed of Puppy Are You?

I'd actually like to think that I more like a pug. That is I look nastier than I actually am. Oh well I guess I'll have to take this then.

You Are a Chow Puppy

Don't fence me in!
You're an independent spirit that won't be tied down.

11:18 PM - A. Philip Randolph

A. Philip Randolph, originally uploaded by lbj79us.

This will be my last DC picture. This was the day I left and I got one more picture of the statue of A Philip Randolph. If you don't know he's a famous Black Union leader. There is a museum dedicated to his work near the famous Pullman neighborhood in Chicago. Visit their website.

10:20 AM - At a picnic ground on Andrew's Air Force Base

Yeah so we had some connections to have a picnic on the base. It was interesting a military base is almost like a city unto itself. For those of you who don't know Andrews is home to Air Force One. Thankfully I didn't get a chance to see Air Force One.

I was riding with one of my relatives who said don't fish out of this body of water. Pollution from aircraft may prove to be fatal for those who either drink from the water or eats something out of it.
A shelter and a bbq grill. I didn't get a chance to grill though and I'm not so sure I wanted to anyway.
It was time for use to leave and I just had to get a shot of this moon. The best shot of the moon I've ever taken. Posted by Picasa

Your Brain is 27% Female, 73% Male

Logical and detailed, you tend to look at the facts
And while your emotions do sway you sometimes...
You never like to get feelings too involved

10:20 AM - Photos of the US Capitol...

The first two pictures were from my Metro subway trip in Washington. I was on foot in the National Mall. I took a picture that was in focus of the capitol and then another from about the distance I was from the Capitol.

These two pictures were from the tour bus ride the next day. I was even closer to the Capitol than I was the day before. And then I got a picture of the reflecting pool in the second pictures. The pool was also by the Capitol.

11:42 AM - Images at the Lincoln Memorial

I left the WW2 Memorial and took a long walk from there to get up the massive amount of stairs into the Lincoln Memorial. This was at a souvenir trailor nearby the memorial with a memorable sticker. Remember...
Evil Thrives: When good people do nothing.

Now we are close to the Lincoln Memorial. I was here many years ago and I don't even remember that there were so many steps before actually going in to see the statue of Honest Abe himself.
Honest Abe himself. There were a couple of pennies by his throne. Before I left I threw one more penny at him. I hope some good luck come my way.
Check out this qoute which you can see plainly over Abe's head...
In this temple
as in the hearts of the people for
whom he saved the union
the memory of Abraham Lincoln
in enshrined forever

I took a pictures at the WW2 Memorial. I didn't take to many pictures in fact using my digital camera I took some video. Either way here are some pictures.
Looking towards the Lincoln Memorial strolling around the WW2 Memorial. Pictures from the Lincoln Memorial are coming.
Illinois is represented at the WW2 Memorial.
Some fountains hear the Atlantic side of the memorial.
Remember the post for Illinois it was near the Pacific side of the memorial. Posted by Picasa

10:29 PM - "Tick Tock" McGlaughlin

This character got a lot of gried amongst the online fans of the movie Seabiscuit. But I just have to admit that I really liked the inspired use of sound effects. In this picture we see his use of a triangle for some sound effects, however, the objects used includes, a gong, a stringed instrument, xylophone, a train whistle, etc. If only I can pull something like that off. Indeed what makes this easier is that one can record these sounds and or get a sound effects CD. Especially if one decides to do these things called an audio podcast.

10:10 PM - Random Washington photos

I believe this is the Native American Museum of the Smithsonian Institute. Here another closeup of this place below. We was closer to the US Capitol than we were to the Washington Monument on the National Mall.
I guess I wanted to take a picture of this stand near the museum.
Can you guess where this is? This is the Department of Education.
We was on a tour bus on this day and we drove by a wedding party as we get close to the US Capitol. I believe this was near the Department of Energy. Posted by Picasa
