You are elegant, withdrawn, and brilliant. Your mind is a weapon, able to solve any puzzle. You are also great at poking holes in arguments and common beliefs.
For you, comfort and calm are very important. You tend to thrive on your own and shrug off most affection. You prefer to protect your emotions and stay strong.
You may want to know how much this costs. Basically you have to pay an accomodation fee in addition to a coach seat fare. And the final price depends on when you purchase a ticket or when you make a reservation. It may be expensive if you're planning your trip say a month or so in advance but the closer to the trip you get the cheaper a sleeper room will be. I am talking about first class after all.
In any case, you may be able to buy a ticket and start with a coach fare but say if you give them your contact info and/or if you ask, they'll allow you to change your accomodations before your trip. In addition to that if you're already on the train you can change your accomodations while you're actually on the train. Who can beat that right?
Well what does having first class accomodations mean on Amtrak anyway, other than the usual bed on a train instead of a coach seat. Well your first class charges will include complimentary meals (breakfast, dinner, and lunch) and complimentary bottled water, orange juice, and coffee. No more going to the lounge car for those basic things, although if you need a snack you still have to go back there and get that.
I will say next time I'm either going to get a room by myself or get a larger room. It'll be fun. Or perhaps I should get used to a small roomette for a while longer.
I showed up in King Chapel one evening. There was this wonderful Christmas display in the lobby. A very nice display. Too bad that this was close to the end of the semester. See other Christmas displays around the Atlanta University Center.
I wish everyone a happy holidays. A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!
Near the end of the last semester a new group of initiates for Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. are unveiled in this probate show at Morehouse College. An interesting show, yes?
Hmmm yeah the USS Enterprise crashed on a distant planet in Star Trek: Generations but have you seen a Federation Starship literally ram itself into another starship. Well the USS Enterprise in ST: Nemesis did. Look at those suspensful 4 minutes and 30 seconds. You'll be glad you did!
This blog in it's current incarnation began on January 29th, 2006. But the start of this blog goes beyond this particular date.
Since I deleted the evidence, this blog actually dates back to September 2005. I had started more of a personal journal and it was to compliment It's My Mind to a degree. Of course the idea was always to give this blog a different personality than It's My Mind which was more political than anything.
That blog was called the Experimental Journal. And when I couldn't decide where I wanted to go with it, the name would change every now and then and so would it's address. It was at a certain point that I decided that I needed some space for a rather creative outlet.
In any case it allowed me to play with different templates and it was here that I played around with using Feedburner. I even wrote a post about how I got my first subscriber and I wanted this person to introduce himself but he never did. So this variation allowed me to play with the template at It's My Mind and install Feedburner over there in time for 2006.
Before that point I would write about what happened on this day or that day. My wishes, hopes, and dreams. And perhaps things that didn't fit at It's My Mind. One post survives over at It's My Mind that I had originally posted here only to delete it.
Well another reason I set that blog up was to eventually do video blogs. I had started to get interested in that and to start another blog different from It's My Mind where just doing a random video blog about anything didn't seem to fit over there. Of course I have posted only two videos (V-Log #1 and V-Log #2) which were videographed, edited, and posted by yours truly.
Anywhere as stated at other times on this blog original video is a part of the long term plans here, but for now this blog has basically become a photoblog. This is more text than I'd like but this place in the last couple of month had more text that I'd think it would. Either way the best things are yet to come.
So this blog is almost a year old now. The template that I used for this place is called Live Journal. I got it from Blogger-Templates but I see that it is no longer displayed on that site. It's a great template, discourages clutter. I'm gonna save the codes for that template. Thank goodness for archive.org.
There are two Live Journal Templates. White and Black. So if you want to play around with the code. Have fun!!!
From Thomas Hawk on Flickr. Go read his blog too. He was in New Orleans and took this picture earlier this year. This is not something I'd expect to see. An abandoned Wal-Mart.
10:12 AM - Frankfurter sandwiches, frankfurter sandwiches...
The performance of this song was over the top but kind of catchy. I can't help but say frankfurter sandwiches, frankfurter sandwiches. That's how catchy this song is.
Well anyway this is the Sandwiches Song from 1929. And I have no doubt this song worked in the 1920s in ways that it wouldn't work today. In fact such an individual would probably be laughed off the stage.
Anyway I hoped you'd enjoy it. I first found it on an entry at The Late Night Mash. And then by change I found it on YouTube.
A great shot of the moon. A place that humans will set foot on again if NASA has anything to do with it. Who knows I may even pay a visit one day. That is if there are any hotels to be built on the moon and it's within my price range.
BTW, this picture was taken by one of my favorite videobloggers Doug from the Southern Video Blog. Check out his blog and check out his photostream!
I was on Hollywood Blvd in this video. We made stops in gift shops off the street and we made a stop at the Chinese Theater and saw the cement blocks of the stars. I got some of the stars on the Walk of Fame too. I got enough juice in the camcorder to get some of the Kodak Theater. From this point forward I'll be sure to get better with taking some vacation video.
This blog has gone a long way from its orignal mission. It will still be a blog of frivolity but I still intend for this blog to be more creative and visual. So I'm bringing this blog back to its roots as a photoblog. Don't be surprised if it winds up going inactive for a brief time but it will only be brief.
There are many longterm plans for this blog including original video content. There will always be photographs and perhaps some original creative writing. I don't plan on posting a lot of email spam as I had recently.
Other than that time to really reformat this blog. Those are my plans. If you have any type of suggestions or comments please make a comment or email me. My email is itsmymind (at) gmail (dot) com.
