12:44 PM - HUMOR: True Bears Fan

Kind of a shame that this post is nicely colored in orange and navy blue but I'm not sure if it would work on the black background. I just wish I could give this is white background just for this post so that I can display it in orange and navy blue.

A man had 50 yard line tickets for the Bear's game. As he sits down, a man comes over and asks if anyone is sitting in the seat next to him. "No," he says, "the seat is empty."

"This is incredible," said the man. "Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Bears game, the biggest sporting event in the world, and not use it?"

He says, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This is the first Bears game we haven't been to together since we got married in 1957."

"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else -- a friend or relative, or even a neighbor to take the seat?"

The man shakes his head. "No, they're all at her funeral."

12:00 AM - Bears fight song is back w/ the Super Bowl Shuffle!!!

Been looking for this for a while. It used to be available at ChicagoBears.com but they do have that link anymore. But it did find it at a fan site for the Bears, BearsPod.com.

They feature audio podcasts or programs for Bears fans everywhere. Also I have a reason to watch the Bears for a change. Perhaps whenever I'm near a computer I should try to listen in on few games online. Especially since I may not be able to watch them on TV here in Atlanta. Ah modern technology.

Oh yeah here's some lyrics and an audio file. I just wish there was a way to save the recording...

Bear down, Chicago Bears, make every play clear the way to victory;
Bear down, Chicago Bears, put up a fight with a might so fearlessly.
We’ll never forget the way you thrilled the nation with your T-formation.
Bear down, Chicago Bears, and let them know why you’re wearing the crown.
You’re the pride and joy of Illinois, Chicago Bears, bear down.
Oh yeah and hear a rendition from the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.

UPDATE: The Bears from 1985 do their Super Bowl Shuffle...
